Bicycle Build Entry #2 Received - Want to learn more about our bicycle build competition? Click here !

1Hi, my name is Allan. Some of you know me as Crazy Al.

I am from Sydney, NS Canada and I own lots of Zoombicycle motorized engine kits.
I started building many months back. I sell these kits to people by them dropping off their bikes to have one installed or they can come by and buy one of the bikes I already have done up.

I started by installing my first two kits on mountain bikes, one for me and one for the girlfriend. I found them uncomfortable to ride leaning over like that. I thought I should get a couple of low rider bikes to build, the kind I grew up on. Then I saw a couple of Pacific Coast Chopper bikes and thought they were the bikes for us. So I built two more bikes out of these Pacific Coast Chopper bikes for the girlfriend and me. The red one I built for me, and the silver for my girlfriend Nancy. As you saw in the video (if you watched it) the silver chopper was made from aluminum and the frame broke from the stress. These are cheap bikes but fun none the less. I was going to have it welded but while I was waiting to get this done my friend Brian from North Sydney told me about two bikes a guy had for sale on kijiji near where we live. I contacted the man and he had one left so I grabbed it. At $125.00 it was a steal. When I have a challenge or a problem to figure out, I think to myself and mostly I think out loud. I think what would be the simplest way to make this work. It does not always work the way I think it should but I keep trying until I get it.

I wanted to build this bike with things I already had or I could find. Turns out I had it all.

Now you have some history and I have the perfect bike, plus I have the perfect Zoombicycles motorized engine kit and I have the time.

Now it is time for our new journey to begin.

Hi Crazy Al:
Now that you have done a few Zoom conversions, how long does it take on average to convert a bike?
